REMOVAL COT SERVICE & REPAIR

INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE & REPAIR FOR FERNO AND JUNKIN MORTUARY REMOVAL COTS

REMOVAL COT SERVICE & MAINTENANCE.

Cantrell’s Sales LLC provides inspection, maintenance, adjustment, and repair for FERNO and Junkin removal cots used in funeral home removal and transport operations.

Removal cots are subjected to repeated loading, unloading, folding, transport, and daily movement. Over time, wheels, casters, leg assemblies, linkage, locks, latches, frame hardware, and structural components can wear, loosen, become misaligned, or fail.

Cantrell’s evaluates the complete cot and repairs or replaces serviceable components whenever practical, helping keep dependable equipment operating safely and correctly.

FERNO & JUNKIN REMOVAL COT SERVICE

FERNO and Junkin cots are among the primary removal-cot brands serviced by Cantrell’s.

Both manufacturers produce professional transport equipment designed for repeated funeral-home use, and many individual components can be serviced or replaced as wear develops over time.

Depending on the model and condition, Cantrell’s can service wheel and caster assemblies, leg mechanisms, linkage, locks, latches, handles, hardware, frame components, and other serviceable mechanical parts.

COMMON REMOVAL COT PROBLEMS

LEGS NOT LOCKING OR RELEASING

Wear, damaged components, linkage problems, or adjustment issues can interfere with normal leg operation.

DIFFICULT TO FOLD OR OPERATE

Binding, loose hardware, worn linkage, or damaged mechanical components can make the cot increasingly difficult to operate.

WHEELS OR CASTERS NOT ROLLING PROPERLY

Worn wheels, bearings, caster assemblies, or mounting hardware can affect maneuverability and stability.

STRUCTURAL OR FRAME DAMAGE

Repeated loading and transport can eventually contribute to cracking, separation, deformation, or other damage in structural areas.

Similar symptoms can have different causes depending on the cot model and condition. Cantrell’s evaluates the complete mechanical and structural system before determining the appropriate repair.

STRUCTURAL DAMAGE & COT SAFETY

SOMETIMES THEY ARE EASY TO SPOT

OTHER TIMES YOU HAVE TO LOOK CAREFULLY

Removal cots are repeatedly loaded, unloaded, folded, transported, and moved across uneven surfaces. Over time, structural components should be inspected for cracking, separation, distortion, damaged welds, loose hardware, and other signs of deterioration.

Structural damage is not always immediately obvious. Some cracks are clearly visible, while others may develop around mounting points, joints, weld areas, or other high-stress locations and require a closer inspection to identify.

If structural damage is discovered, the cot should be removed from service until the affected area has been properly evaluated and repaired.

REQUEST REMOVAL COT SERVICE

If your FERNO or Junkin removal cot is difficult to fold, roll, lock, raise or lower, has excessive movement, or shows signs of structural damage, Cantrell’s can inspect the equipment and determine the appropriate repair.

If you are unsure of the cot model or the source of the problem, send us photos or video of the equipment and the issue you are experiencing.
